Even if you aren’t keen on rocking a Windows-based mobile device, Vaio’s first-ever phone for the platform is certainly worth a look.
The LTE-capable Vaio Phone Biz features a sleek aluminum body, a 5.5-inch Full HD display and a 13-megapixel rear camera. Its body is subjected to a blasting process for a unique finish and the screen is protected by tempered glass.

Unlike the bland Android phone that Vaio launched last March after being spun off from Sony and sold to a Japanese investment firm, this device appears to borrow from the design language seen in the company’s line of laptops.
It’s powered by a Snapdragon 617 processor with 3GB RAM and supports Windows 10’s Continuum feature, which lets you run the OS on a desktop monitor or TV. You also get 16GB of onboard storage and can add a microSD card for 64GB of additional space.
The Phone Biz will be available for ¥50,000 ($424) unlocked in Japan from April.
It isn’t yet clear if it will reach other markets. We’ve contacted the company to learn more and will update this post when we hear back.
